So this will carry four skis or two snowboards, Yakima also has a model that carries up to six skis or four snowboards. Today, we're taking a look at this one, this will probably be your more premium option as far as ski and snowboard carriers. A great feature is that it also doubles as a fishing rod carrier that will carry up to six poles. But what makes it great is that you can keep it on all year round, it is aerodynamic, but it locks into itself with these straps as well as a Same Key System on all the lock cores right here. Notice that we have these giant buttons for when you have your big winter gloves, easy to open and to load and unload your gear. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier on the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So this carrier will allow you to carry four pairs of skis or two snowboards, right now we just have a pair of each, and if we scooted them closer, we could actually get two pairs of skis and a snowboard on here, but it's gonna be made out of a durable aluminum, so it's gonna be rust-free and corrosion-resistant. I like these buttons, 'cause they stick out and you could wear your thick, heavy winter gloves and still pop them open with just a simple judo chop. Super easy to load and unload just like that. On the inside, you're gonna have a thick rubber material here, keeping your gear snug and secure. The rubber also helps maintain traction for when your gear's wet from the snow, and a great thing about this is that they also double as a fishing rod holder, can carry up to six fishing poles easily with this, so you can keep them on all year round for your winter sports and then in the summertime for when you go fishing. more

So we have a good way to get the skis and snowboards out of your vehicle, up on the roof, that gives everybody more leg room on the inside, makes everybody happier on those longer trips. Let's hop up there and check it out.It attaches via these stainless steel bands that go around the bottom, and they're coated in rubber so you don't have to worry about them scratching up your bars or anything like that. But you also can know that, that stainless steel is going to be nice and strong. I can shake the whole car back and forth. more

Yakima PowderHound Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2007 Chevrolet Suburban- Video
Today on a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban we're going to test-fit the Yakima PowderHound Roof-Mounted Locking Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number Y03081. One thing to note about this rack here is that you notice how we have an angle going up. This has a provision built into the kit where you can ramp it up like a inaudible 00:00:18 to give you some extra room for your bindings. Now in this case, you probably didn't need them, but if you have ski bindings that are really tall and might hit your roof, then this is a good option to have installed on your vehicle. Also, you can put a snowboard AND some skis on there, depending on the size of your equipment. It does come with a couple keys; there's a lock on each half of the ski carrier to secure your items. If you notice, we take a closer look at the rubber part on our equipment. It gets a nice grip on it yet it cushions it and also keeps it from moving around. Again, this is intended to haul two snowboards or four sets of skis. Next we're going to take a few moments and show you how we install this on the roof rack. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Limited, we have our Yakima FatCat locking ski and snowboard carrier. Part number Y-0-3-0-8-8. We have our front line installed already, going all ahead and put this in place and show you how it's installed on our back. We have our strap that goes underneath, go ahead and bring that around and hook that in our slots right here. It's a good idea to have a good hold on this so it doesn't fall and scratch your roof. Now that I have that hooked in place, we've got a red knob here that I can turn to my right and tighten or turn to the left and loosen. I'll go ahead and tighten it down. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to be a test fit of the Yakima FatCat. This is going to be your ski and snowboard carrier. It's going to mount up on the top of your roof rack system. It's going to be part number Y03088. As you can see we do have our after market roof racks installed on our vehicle. FatCat assembly and ski and snowboard carrier will fit most all of your roof rack systems, whether it be your square bars, your round bars, your elliptical bars, even your factory roof rack systems and aero blades. So first things first, we're going to detach the strap from the grove there and set it up on top of the vehicle, making sure that we have the lock assembly side towards the outside that we would like to use. more

Whispbar Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we're going to be doing a fit of the Whispbar Ski and Snowboard Carrier. This is going to be for 6 skis and or 4 snowboards part #WB-300. As you can see up on our vehicle, we do have our aftermarket roof rack installed, and we're going to show you how it looks on the back one here. This will fit either your elliptical bars, square bars, round bars, factory roof bars, and even your aero-type roof rack systems. First thing we're going to do is make sure we have the straps undone and place it up on top of our bar. Once we've done so, let's get up top, so we have a better vantage point. Up top here you'll see that we can't quite get the strap around into the slot, so we'll need to loosen it up a little bit, rotating that red dial to the left. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Series Crew Cab pick up we're going to be test fitting the Whispbar Locking Ski and Snow Board Rooftop Carrier. That's going to be part number WB-300. We have our Yakima Roof Rack system in place already, as well as the rear half of this carrier. I'm going to go ahead and show you how to install the front carrier. You're going to want to place the carrier on top of the load bar so that the straps are able to go underneath. You're also going to want to make sure that the front and rear carrier are in line. This carrier does have a capacity of six skis or four snow boards. Once that clasp is in place we just want to lift this lever here, loosening it a little bit, which is going to raise this grey tab underneath here. more

We'll be sure that the two black rubber coated metal straps come around the underside of our crossbar. We'll then fit the one closest to us here into the foot of the carrier. Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban we're going to be test fitting the Yakima FatCat 6, a locking rooftop ski and snowboard carrier with a 6-ski or 4-board capacity, part number Y03088. With our factory roof rack already on the Suburban we're going to begin our test fit by grabbing the front half of our carrier and placing it onto our front crossbar. We'll place the black buckle of the strap closest to us under the foot of the carrier. We'll then open our top jaw, reach in, and lift the black lever. We'll want to loosen this slightly. This will disengage the small gray catch. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze we're going to be test fitting the Whispbar Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier. With a 6-ski or 4-board capacity, its part number is WB-300. With the Yakima Q Towers Roof Rack System already installed on our vehicle we'll begin by grabbing the front half of our carrier. We'll place it onto our front load bar, bring the black rubber coated metal strap around the underside, and fit it back into the carrier. We'll then open our top jaw, lift the black lever, releasing the gray catch. We'll then close the black buckle and secure it in place by pushing down on the black lever which will engage the gray catch. With this side tight we'll move to the driver side and repeat that same tightening process. more

We'll bring both black rubber-coated metal straps around the underside of our crossbar, and we'll fit the one closest to us here into the foot of the carrier. We're then going to open the top jaw of the carrier, lift up on the black lever located inside. We'll now cam our buckle closed, tighten down that lever slightly, and push it back down into position. more

Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2014 Chevrolet Impala- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevy Impala we'll be test fitting the Yakima FatCat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number Y03088. We'll begin our test fit by placing our front part of the carrier onto our front crossbar. We'll need to bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the bar and insert the tabs into the slots of the top bracket and clamp it down. We'll then need to open up the jaws to expose the black tab on the inside. You need to tighten it down and clamp it down which will prevent the strap from coming undone. We'll then repeat the same process for the other side. We'll then place the rear part of the carrier onto the rear crossbar and, again, bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the bar, insert the tabs at the end of the strap into the grooves of the top bracket and clamp it forward. Then we'll open up the jaws exposing the black tab which we'll tighten down and clamp it which will secure the strap in place. After repeating the same process for the other side, we're ready to load up our gear. We'll need to push in the large black oversized buttons at the end of the carrier and open up the jaws. We'll place in our snowboard as well as our skis and clamp them down. With our gear all loaded up, that will complete today's test fit of the Yakima FatCat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number Y03088, on our 2014 Chevy Impala. more

With the Yakima Q tower's roof rack system on our vehicle, we will begin our test fit by placing the front part of the rack on our front cross bar. We will need to bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the front bar and hook them up into the grooves, clamping it down. We will need to open up the carrier to access the black level on the inside which will turn and clamp down. We will then repeat the same process for the other side. We will now go ahead and place the rear part of our carrier onto the rear crossbar and again will bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the rear bar and hook the grooves into the slots of the top bracket. We will need to open up the carrier and access the black tabs which we will need to tighten down and clamp which will hold the straps in place. more

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe, we'll be test fitting the Wisbar locking rooftop ski and snowboard carrier with a 6-ski or 4-board capacity, part number WB-300. With a factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll take the front half of our carrier and place it onto our front bar. We'll bring the rubber-coated strap around our bar, fitting it back into the foot of the carrier. We'll push the oversize button here on the end of our carrier to open up our jaw. We'll flip up the thumb tab, tighten it, and then push it back down. We'll move to the other side and repeat this process. Now we'll grab the other half of our carrier and place it onto our rear bar. It's important that we make sure that both halves of our carrier are in line with each other. more
